Jabeen Qadri is an artist, writer, and illustrator from Karachi, Pakistan. Her prose piece “The Lost Ring” is about affectionate, intelligent remembrance on one’s behalf—the most luxurious link there is. It will be published in Bored Wolves Spare Cots, an evolving journal project slated for autumn.
An element of the text I savored in particular was that Jabeen does not specify her favorite writer. It is not really necessary to. All that matters is the young man in question mindfully absorbed this information.
I was curious, however, even though I sensed I would be, in a way, an elevated version of myself if I resisted knowing.
Still: I asked!
But no, no, no—it is not necessary to know that it was Camus, so that is not a piece of information I will provide in this post. If you’d like, you may ask @jabeenqadri.
